About us
We didn't start a dog brand. We started a dachshund brand.
One breed, on purpose. Everything at DoxieFit starts with a long back, a deep chest, short legs and a very big personality.
If you have one, you know

Why we started
Famous everywhere. Fitted almost nowhere.
Everyone draws the dachshund. It's on T-shirts and mugs, logos and stickers, phone cases and tote bags.
But bring a real one home and most gear gives up halfway. Harnesses rub behind the front legs. Coats stop in the middle of the back. Size charts ask for one measurement, when a long dog needs three.
So we started DoxieFit: for the dog everyone loves and almost nobody fits.

Even Waldi, the first official Olympic mascot, at the 1972 Munich Games, was a dachshund.
The dog behind the drawing
The name is German for badger dog. Dachshunds were bred to follow badgers underground, and it shows: the long body, the deep chest, big paddle paws for digging, and a bark that carries up out of a tunnel.
All of it is still there, curled up on your sofa. It's the body we love them for, and the only one we have in mind.
